Khawlah A Razzaq A Wahhab
This research focuses on the study of "The Decorative Design on the Façade of Al-Aqmar Mosque during the Fatimid Era," divided into four chapters. The first chapter outlines the research problem, its importance, the necessity for the study, the research objective, scope, and definitions of key terms. The research problem addresses the decorative design on the façade of Al-Aqmar Mosque and how the Muslim artist mastered it. This mastery is evident through the elements and principles of design applied on the mosque’s façade, which are spiritually, religiously, and philosophically connected. These designs had a significant impact on the execution of various decorations, including geometric, vegetal, and Quranic inscriptions, reflecting the religious and divine community. The art is uniquely Islamic, described as both aesthetically pleasing and a reflection of spiritual and natural existence.
