Unraveling an attachment theory to analyze the relational issues between the characters in Colleen Hoover's It Ends with Us and It Starts with Us. By analysing the characters' interactions and communication styles, this research article explores how the characters' behaviours represent their zone of secure, restless, and avoidant attachment dynamics and how these attachment types contribute to the challenges they face. This approach emphasises the complexities of love, the difficulties of healing from traumatic experiences, and the need of a healthy attachment pattern for the development of healthy relationships. The intricacies of love, the challenges involved in recovering from traumatic events, and the significance of healthy attachment for establishing healthy relationships are all emphasized by this method. The principal focus is on how protagonist’s early encounters with her violent father influenced her attachment style and, therefore, her love relationships with her former boyfriend and her husband.
