The field of cinematic and television editing is witnessing rapid development due to the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which have brought about a real transformation in working methods and production quality. This research aims to study the various applications of AI in editing processes, such as automatic scene classification, color correction, image and sound editing, and visual effects production, as well as the automation of some complex work stages. The research reviews the most prominent techniques used and discusses the impact of AI on the editor's creative role, the job market, and the technical and ethical issues that may accompany the adoption of this technology.
Therefore, the current research problem crystallizes through answering the following question:
What is the effectiveness and feasibility of artificial intelligence techniques in improving creative editing processes, and what is their impact on production quality and intellectual property rights?
